The beginning of a family tradition

Start of the family tradition. A great deal of experience lies in the development from a traditional craft business to a renowned industrial company.
1866
Foundation stone laid for the industrial finishing of textiles. The master dyer and cloth maker Otto Schüler achieves a significant breakthrough in the field of industrial textile finishing in Kulmbach.
1919
Expansion and relocation. A new building was constructed and the company relocated from the city center to the Albert-Ruckdeschel-Straße industrial estate.
1970
Falk Walther, the grandson of the company founder, takes over the management of the company.
1970
Expansion of the production area through building extension.
2003
Largest investment in the company's history. Schüler & Co. K.G. invests in the latest machine technology for finishing high-performance fabrics.
2007
After many years with the company, Heiko Knörrer is appointed as a new member of the management of Schüler & Co. K.G. after many years of service.
2011
Company owner and Managing Director Falk Walther passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 3, 2017. We are grateful for his decades of commitment to the company. The ownership of Schüler & Co. K.G. will from now on be shared by Heiko Knörrer and Annett Walther. Heiko Knörrer will continue to manage the company alone.

Michael Schneider becomes plant manager of Schüler & Co. K.G.

Commissioning of a thermal post-combustion plant to reduce total carbon emissions.

Construction of a water treatment plant for better wastewater quality.
